Organizing with Ikea :-)

Hello Crafty Friends!

This weekend we took a ride to Ikea to get some more organizing/storage solutions for around the house, namely, my scraproom.  I purchased 2 sets of drawers to fit into the Expedit bookcase I already had.  Sometimes drawers do the best trick at keeping small things tidy.  Here is the before and after:

And, here is what is  inside each of the drawers:

EMBOSSING TOOLS AND GLITTER

I also received this order from Joann's during the week.  My big project of the year is starting and completing my daughter's baby album, and to start her toddler album.  So, I've started collecting some adorable papers.   I love these from K & Company.

So, what do you think?  Do you love to organize?  I have a love for organizing.  You'd never had thought that seeing as I always had a messy room as a kid.  I also got to re-organizing my kitchen cabinets yesterday, and my daughter's room.

We purchased this Trofast piece for our daughter's room.  It holds some puzzles, small toys, and books in the top three bins, and in the bottom bins, larger toys.  We're graduating from a baby's room to a toddler's room.  Yesterday, my daughter spent a long time playing in her room -- prior to this, all of her toys were in the living room.  I was able to work on my scraproom (on the same floor) and my husband watched her on the monitor as he prepared for work.  It was a new experience for all.

Thanks for stopping by! :-)

My Scrap Room

Hello Crafty Friends!

Here is my NEW Scrap Room! It was our guest room, but it was hardly used, so over the Summer I picked out this delicious paint and my husband hooked me up. We had all of the Ikea furniture, I was using one desk and two bookcases, and my husband was using the other desk and one bookcase. I used to have my scrappy space in our basement, where I also had a computer desk. I swapped the computer desk (and computer) with my husband for the extra Ikea pieces so I could be all matchy-matchy AND more organized.

I hope you like it!

Canvas Storage Bins by Martha Stewart hold my daughter's books, crayons, flashcards, etc., and some office paper and electronics (chargers, manuals, etc.).

These Ikea Drona pop-up boxes hold lots of stuff I don't need at my finger tips, but need to get to often.

I don't have any decorations up yet, but I hope to get some things up on the walls soon. So, there will be more to come.

This is where I used to scrap... in what is now solely the man cave!

Thanks for stopping by!  :-)
