Die Cuttin' Divas #57 "Music"

Hello Crafty Friends!

"JUST A NOTE"

Here is my submission for the

The card base, when folded, is 4"x6".  I printed blank sheet music onto mauve cardstock.  I distressed the edges of both with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Purple Concord.  The music notes were cut from the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut Cartridge (they are part of the "chick" cut).  The black ribbon is from my stash.  I printed the words "Just A Note" onto another shade of purple cardstock from my computer.  I layered and used Stickles to accent.  And, used foam dots to pop it up.  I also used purple and diamond Stickles on the music notes.

My Little Crafter: Toddler Art @ Home Depot -- Heart Basket

Hello Crafty Friends!

So it's time for a little Mommy bragging!

My munchkin crafter and husband went to Home Depot on Saturday (03/24) for their'

*Free Kids Workshop*

The first Saturday of every month, a FREE workshop is open for kids ages 5-12 (okay, so my daughter will be 3 in June, it's not like they check birth certificates, obviously).  Each child is given a kit and directions to make the specific project.  This week, they made a heart basket. (And, obviously, they do this more than the first Saturday of the month).

From start to finish, they assembled the basket, hammering nails and all.  And, then they got to decorate it with paint.  My daughter methodically wanted to use every color.

Here is her finished project!

OKAY, HOW AWESOME IS MY 2 YEAR OLD???

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #233

Hello Crafty Friends!

"LAUGH OUT LOUD"

Here is my submission for the

For this challenge, all of the papers I used are from DCWV -- "Everyday" Extreme Paper Stack.  I guess if I put some of my scraps away, you guys would get a different color palette!  But, I do love this stack, so I want to use it all! :-)  Anyway, I used a Martha Stewart punch (1" scalloped circle), and 3 gold buttons from my stash to create the "flower".  I also used some pink and white twine, and a gold metallic marker to trace the edges so they would pop.  I used foam dots so the flower would have some dimension.  I also used a Martha Stewart border punch for the heart strip.  For the inside of the card, I used one of my trusty $1.00 stamps from Michael's.

I am also linking up this project to:
The challenge this week is to create a card using 3 buttons.

Made Especially For You Sketch Challenge - March

Hello Crafty Friends!

"THANK YOU"

This is my submission for the

For this challenge at Made Especially For You, it's sketch week.  So, all you had to do is follow the above sketch and put your own flavor into it.  I used The Sweet Stack from DCWV for all the paper.  For the banner, I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes and set the eyelets, then I used some green and white twine to "tie" the pieces together.  I made a rosette with a punched scalloped circle as the center, and a cute winky Peachy Keen Stamp.  I also used 3 gold rhinestones from my stash.

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #232

Hello Crafty Friends!

"CONGRATULATIONS"

This is my submission for the

For this challenge, I started with a white card base.  The paperstack I used is from DCWV -- The Sweet Stack.  I love this stack! :-)  I used the Love You A Latte Cricut Cartridge to cut the cupcake, and I used the Cricut Craft Room to manipulate the figure.  If you haven't tried the CCR yet, what are you waiting for?  It's free and it's so easy and convenient.  Anyway, the ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment inside is a wood mounted stamp, I colored "Congratulations" with a metallic blue Gelly Roll pen.  I made this card for a friend of mine who just graduated from college.  I can't wait to give it to her.
