Paper Bag Mini: MARIPOSA

Hello Crafty Friends!

Here is my latest creation!  It's a paper bag mini album using red "Celebrate It" paper bags from Michael's.  I used DCWV's "MARIPOSA" paper stack.  I followed the tutorial by Kathy from Paper Phenomenon, *with my own adjustments*.  I will also be posting a video shortly.  Enjoy!

I embellished the cover with flowers from I Am Roses (altered with "Gold" Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels).  The charms are from Prima (Marion Smith's "Vintage Trinkets").  The sentiment is a stamp by My Creative Time (You Had Me At Chocolate), with an overlay of "Gold" Glimmer Mist, stamped onto a die cut from My Creative Time (Fancy Frame Stamp and Die Set). I used some "Say It In Pearls" by Prima.  The book is bound using sheer green ribbon.

I made this album for my sister & brother-in-law's 12th wedding anniversary.  So in addition, I also made a matching card:

Gave them the matching tag that I made for May:

BABY BOY MINI ALBUM: "JACOB"

Hello Crafty Friends!

Wow has it really been four months since I've posted? This Summer was just full of doing fun family things that I didn't have a moment to scrap.  I did finish some projects that needed completion, so as I find the time to blog again, I'll be getting those up as soon as possible.

The first up is the Baby Boy Mini Album that I made for my friend's little boy.  It's a very simple chipboard album from Clear Scraps, that I just covered in different patterned paper and cardstock from my random stash.  I also added some 4x6 chipboard pages and made Simple Paper Bag Envelopes (inspired by Stephanie from With A Grin).

Keepsake box houses the mini album.
Used my Cricut for the title, and "Create A Critter" (Cartridge) for the dinosaur.

Front Cover.
"It's a Boy!" is a sticker, that I backed with cardstock and popped up with foam adhesive.  "Welcome Little One" is a stamp from Fiskars.  I cut out the name, "Jacob" using "Storybook" (Cricut Cartridge).

Pages 1 & 2.  "Just Arrived" is a wood-block stamp.

Pages 3 & 4.  "Mother" is a 7Gypsies stamp.  The onesie and footprints are cut from "New Arrival" (Cricut Cartridge).

Pages 5 & 6.  "Sweet Dreams" is a Fiskars stamp.  Here is the first "Simple Paper Bag Envelope".  The sentiments are also stamps from Fiskars.

Pages 7 & 8.  More stamping from Fiskars.

Pages 9 & 10.  Second "Simple Paper Bag Envelope" and more Fiskars stamping.

Pages 11 & 12.  Cuts made from "New Arrival" Cricut Cartridge.

Pages 13 & 14.  "Dad" stamp from 7Gypsies.

Pages 15 & 16.  P 16 has a fold out for more photos/journaling.

Back Cover.

One last look at the front cover.

Making "Ladybug Love" Card w. Cricut Craft Room

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!

Today I thought I would show you how I created my "Ladybug Love" Card for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog (FCCB) using the Cricut Craft Room and my Cricut Expression.

Here, I've designed my Ladybug using the Create A Critter cart in the Cricut Craft Room.

Then, I decided on what colors would be assigned to which part of the Ladybug.

Loaded up my mat into my Cricut Expression and *CUT*!

Finished cuts.

Took off all of the excess paper.

I used the ever adorable Peachy Keen Stamps to give my Ladybug her darling face.
(PK-755 Critter Faces SET A Large)

Assembled my Ladybug and added white Gelly Roll pen to the eyes.

Chose my background paper (DCWV Extreme "Everyday" Stack), and glued down my Ladybug's shadow as well as the matte for my die cut phrase.

Used foam adhesive to give the words, "love bug" and my Ladybug some dimension.

And, here is the finished product.

You can view my Ladybug Love post here.

This card was also entered into the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #20.

Sneak Peek: Baby Boy Mini Album

Hello Crafty Friends!

Here is a baby album I've been working on for about...  a year!  It's 90% done, I hope to get it done during the week so I can give it to my good friend who had her baby last summer.  I really have a hard time finishing things, mostly because I don't have much free time caring for my toddler 24/7.  I don't have many photos of the album, and I don't want to put a photo of the cover just in case she sees this and well, the cover says his name on it.

So here is just a taste:

Here is a pocket page on the left,
and as you can see, a pocket with the word,
"precious".

Inside of the "precious" pocket,
there is an opportunity for some jouraling.

There is more to come!

What do you think???

Made Especially For You Sketch Challenge: May

Hello Crafty Friends!

"Your Kindess Warms My Heart"

Here is my submission for the
and the
(Incorporate Purple, Orange & Black)

inside

My card base is size A2 (black cardstock paper).  The patterned paper is from DCWV.  I used my Creative Memories square punch.  To cut the oval, I used the "Stamping" Cricut Cartridge.  For the hot cocoa stamp and sentiment, I used Fiskars "Latte Love" clear stamps.
