Creative Cutter Room Blog Hop & Challenge: Strolling Through The Park

Hello Crafty Friends!

Here is my submission for the
Creative Cutter Room Blog Hop & Challenge:

For this challenge we were to create a project incorporating something you would see in a park and had to include 4 elements!  In order to discover what the 4 elements were, we had to hop through the design team's blogs.  Four out of six blogs would have one element.

The four elements are:  Color, Charm, Glitter & Embossing.

I started with a 5"x6 1/2" white card base.  To it, I added "sky" patterned paper from DCWV.  The "grass" is from the Sweet Stack.  The butterfly  and the flowers were cut from the "New Arrival" Cricut Cartridge.  The tree, squirrel and sun were cut from the "Create A Critter" Cricut Cartridge.  The clouds were cut from the "Sesame Street - Seasons" Cricut Cartridge.

I EMBOSSED the CLOUDS and TREE with my Cuttlebug, using the D'Vine Swirl folder.  The CHARM is from my stash, it's tied with a piece of twine that a little birdie must have left behind, hehe.  The COLOR is from Sky Blue Pearlescent INK from Brilliance, as I used it to add dimension to the CLOUDS.  I used a green Zig PEN to draw the flower's STEMS.  I used Peachy Keen Stamps to give faces to the FLOWERS, SUN AND BUTTERFLY.  I used a white Gelly Roll PEN for the EYES.  And, a pink Super Tips from Crayola MARKER for their' CHEEKS.  For the GLITTER element, I used different color STICKLES on the TREE, BUTTERFLY, FLOWERS AND SUN.  Gotta love BLING!

This card was inspired by what I envisioned a young child would draw as a nice spring day in the park.  I kept the proportions off on purpose, and wanted it to look cartoony rather than realistic.

I hope you enjoy.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday #104

Hello Crafty Friends!

"WELCOME LITTLE ONE"

Here is my submission for the

"OUT LIKE A LAMB"
Make a project with a gentle animal, lamb, puppy, kitten etc.

I started with a 5"x6 1/2" white card base.  I used DCWV's Sweet Stack for the patterned paper.  The LAMB was cut using Create A Critter (Cricut Cartridge).  I embossed her fur with my Cuttlebug using the D'vine Swirl folder.  I used pink, self-adhesive rhinestones for her bows.  The sentiment is from Fiskars "Precious Baby Quotes" clear stamp set.  The buttons and twine are from my stash.

I hope you love this adorable card as much as I do!

BITTEN BY THE BUG 2 CHALLENGE: WELCOME

Hello Crafty Friends!

"WELCOME BANNER"

Here is my submission for the
Bitten By The Bug 2's:

For this challenge, I decided to make my first home decor project.  It's a small banner to hang on the door of my scraproom.  To cut the word "Welcome" I used the Storybook Cricut Cartridge with the shadow accent.  For the scalloped ovals, I used Cricut Craft Room Basics, which comes included when you download Cricut Craft Room.  Each oval is attached with foam dots to create dimension.  On the pale pink oval, I embossed using my Cuttlebug and the Swiss Dots folder.  I used pink self-adhesive rhinstones for a touch of bling.  For the background, I used the same pale pink paper as the smallest oval, and a Martha Stewart border punch gave black cardstock a delicate edge.

I absolutely love how this project came out.  Don't you?!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #234

Hello Crafty Friends!

"ROUND CARD"

Here is my submission for the

and the

I used A Happy Heart 6x6 paper pad by My Mind's Eye:

So, for this card, I used the Cricut Craft Room Basics (preloaded in the Cricut Craft Room) to make the scalloped circle and shadow.  For the center circle, I used the "donut" from the Love You A Latte Cricut Cartridge.  I made a rosette using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board.  Cut the small circle center with the 1" MS circle punch.  I used 7Gypsies Binding Ribbon to tie the card, and for the bow.  To punch the holes on top and to set gold eyelets, I used my Crop-A-Dile.  I distressed all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.  I used foam dots to give each layer dimension.  Also, each paper was mounted on Kraft paper by Recollections to make it more sturdy.

BTW, we had a choice between 2 sketches:
